Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever Allah has given wealth and he does not pay its zakat, on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made to appear before him as a bald-headed serpent with two black spots over its eyes. It will be wound around his neck like a collar, and it will seize him by the two sides of his jaw, meaning his cheeks, saying, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.'"Then he recited this verse, "Let not those who withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty think..." to the end of the verse [Al Imran 3:180].

His saying, "And let not those who withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty think it is good for them. Rather, it is bad for them. They will have what they withheld hung around their necks on the Day of Resurrection. To Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is aware of what you do."
