We were with Anas bin Malik when he said, "By Allah, not everything we narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did we hear directly from him, but we did not lie to one another."
كنا مع أنس بن مالك فقال: والله ما كل ما نحدثكم عن رسول الله ﷺ سمعناه منه، ولكن لم يكن يكذب بعضنا بعضا.

Tabarani (699) narrated it from Yusuf the judge, who said, Abu Rabi Zahrani told us, Abu Shihab told us, from Humayd, and he mentioned it. Hakim (3/575) narrated it by another route from Humayd, with the same wording. Abu Shihab's name is Abd Rabbih bin Saeed, a truthful narrator among the men of the two Shaykhs. Haythami attributed it to Tabarani and said, "Its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."
