I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The heart of the son of Adam shifts about more violently than a cooking pot at its full boil."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: لقلب ابن آدم أشد انقلابا من القدر إذا اجتمع غليانا.
Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Sunnah (226), and Hakim (2/289), and this is his wording, both of them by way of Abdul-Rahman bin Jubayr, from his father, from Miqdad bin Aswad, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari."
