The Prophet ﷺ said, "There are seven whom Allah will shade under His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His shade." Among those he mentioned was, "A man who gives charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: سبعة يظلهم الله في ظله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله وذكر منهم: ورجل تصدق، أخفى حتى لا تعلم شماله ما تنفق يمينه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (660), and Muslim in the Book of Zakat (1031), both of them through Yahya bin Saeed Qattan, from Ubaydullah, who said, Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman Ansari told me, from Hafs bin Asim, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it, the wording being Bukhari's.Malik narrated it in the Book of Poetry (1777) from Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman Ansari, with the same chain, and he said, "From Abu Saeed Khudri or from Abu Hurairah."
