I asked, "Messenger of Allah, our wives, what may we approach of them and what must we avoid?"He replied, "Come to your tilth however you wish."
قلت: يا رسول الله، نساؤنا ما نأتي منها وما نذر؟ قال: ائت حرثك أنى شئت.
Reported by Abu Dawud (2143) and Ahmad (20030), both through the route of Bahz bin Hakeem, with a chain longer than this. Its chain is hasan on account of Bahz bin Hakeem, for he is hasan al-hadith.His words, "however you wish," mean in whatever manner it may be, provided that it is in the vagina. See the rest of the hadiths on this subject in the book on marriage. It has also been said that its meaning is "wherever you wish" and "in whatever place you wish," that is, in the front or the back passage. This has been narrated from Ibn Umar, as in the hadith that follows.
