A man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked the man sitting beside him, "What do you think of this man?"He replied, "He is one of the noblest of people. By Allah, if he proposes marriage, he is sure to be accepted. If he intercedes, his intercession is sure to be granted."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. Then another man passed by, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "What do you think of this one?"He replied, "Messenger of Allah, this is a poor man among the Muslims. If he proposes marriage, he is likely to be refused. If he intercedes, his intercession is likely to be denied. If he speaks, he is unlikely to be heard."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man is better than the entire earth filled with the likes of the other."
مر رجل على رسول الله ﷺ فقال الرجل عنده جالس: ما رأيك في هذا؟ قال: رجل من أشراف الناس، هذا والله حري إن خطب أن ينكح، وإن شفع، أن يشفع، قال: فسكت رسول الله ﷺ ثم مررجل، فقال له رسول الله ﷺ: ما رأيك في هذا؟ فقال: يا رسول الله، هذا رجل من فقراء المسلمين، هذا حري إن خطب أن لا ينكح، وإن شفع أن لا يشفع، وإن قال أن لا يسمع لقوله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هذا خير من ملء الأرض مثل هذا.
