The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No group gathers in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, without tranquility descending upon them, mercy enveloping them, the angels surrounding them, and Allah mentioning them among those who are with Him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ما اجتمع قوم في بيت من بيوت الله، يتلون كتاب الله، ويتدارسونه بينهم إلا نزلت عليهم السكينة وغشيهم الرحمة، وحفتهم الملائكة، وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده.
Muslim in "Remembrance and Supplication" (2699) narrated it through the route of Abu Muawiya Muhammad bin Khazim al-Darir, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it in a longer context.
