The Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge from knowledge that brings no benefit, a prayer that is not heard, a heart that does not feel humility, and a soul that is never satisfied.
كان النبي ﷺ يتعوذ من علم لا ينفع، ودعاء لا يسمع، وقلب لا يخشع، ونفس لا تشبع.
Nasai (5442) narrated it from Yazid bin Sinan, who said, Abdul-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Sinan, from Abdullah bin Abu Huzayl, from Abdullah bin Amr, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih, and its narrators are the narrators of Muslim except for Yazid bin Sinan, who is reliable.Imam Ahmad (6557) also narrated it from Abdul-Rahman, with the same chain. Tirmidhi (3482) narrated it through another route from Abdullah bin Amr, and after it he said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith, gharib from this route, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr."
