The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been given the seven long surahs in place of the Torah, the surahs of one hundred verses in place of the Psalms, and the repeated surahs in place of the Gospel, and I have been favored with the mufassal."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: أعطيت مكان التوراة السبع، وأعطيت مكان الزبور المئين، وأعطيت مكان الإنجيل المثاني، وفضلت بالمفصل.
Ahmad (16982) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (22/75) both narrated it from the hadith of Imran Qattan, from Qatada, from Abu Malih Hudhali, from Wathila bin Asqa, and he mentioned it.In its chain is Imran Qattan, who is Ibn Dawar (with a fatha on the waw, followed by a ra), Abu Awwam. He is disputed, but his hadith is hasan when he does not contradict others, and nothing objectionable has come in his narration. He is corroborated by Saeed bin Bashir, who is the Azdi, their client, in the narration of Tabarani. He is daif according to the majority of scholars, but Ibn Adi said, "I see no harm in what he narrates."I say, this corroboration is of benefit.
