The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever masters the first seven surahs is a learned scholar."
إن النبي ﷺ قال: من أخذ السبع الأول فهو حبر.
Ahmad narrated it (24443), as did Ibn Dirays in Fadail Quran (72) and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (2327), and Hakim graded it sahih (1/564). All of them narrated it through Amr bin Abu Amr, from Habib bin Hind Aslami, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and I have already cited it above, the wording being Ahmad's.In some of the narrations it reads, "Whoever takes the seven long surahs." Its chain is hasan because of Habib bin Hind, who is the son of Asma bin Hind bin Haritha Aslami, and he is among the men listed in Tajil (180). Amr bin Abu Amr and Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Muhammad narrated from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat. Bukhari said, "He is from Hijaz" (meaning that Bukhari knew of him), and Hakim graded it sahih.As for his saying "the first seven," he means Baqarah, Al Imran, Nisa, Maidah, Anaam, and Araf, while there is disagreement about the seventh. Some said it is Yunus, others said Kahf, and others said Baraah together with Anfal.
