The Prophet ﷺ said, "Keep close to the Quran, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, it slips away more swiftly than camels from their tethers."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: تعاهدوا القرآن، فوالذي نفسي بيده لهو أشد تفلتا من الإبل في عقلها.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of the Quran (5033), and Muslim narrated it in the Prayer of Travelers (791:231), both of them through Abu Usama, from Bunayd, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who mentioned it. In Bukhari's version, "It is more prone to escape than a camel from its tether."
