The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who recites the Quran and has memorized it is with the noble and righteous scribes, and the one who recites it while struggling to learn it, finding it difficult, has two rewards."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: مثل الذي يقرأ القرآن وهو حافظ له مع السفرة الكرام البررة، ومثل الذي يقرأ وهو يتعاهده وهو عليه شديد فله أجران.
Bukhari narrated it in the Tafsir (4937), from Adam, who said, Shuba narrated to us, who said, Qatada narrated to us, who said, I heard Zurara bin Awfa narrating from Saad bin Hisham, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Muslim narrated it in the Prayer of Travelers (798), by way of Abu Awana, from Qatada, with the same chain, and its wording has already passed in the chapter on the excellence of one who is skilled in the Quran.His saying, "with the noble scribes," means as a companion to them in the highest ranks. His saying, "keeps it up," means he reviews it, masters it, and retains it in memory. His saying, "he has two rewards," means the reward of recitation and the reward of the effort.
