The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever maintains these prescribed prayers will not be recorded among the heedless, and whoever recites a hundred verses in a night will not be recorded among the heedless but will be recorded among the devoutly obedient."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من حافظ على هؤلاء الصلوات المكتوبات لم يكتب من الغافلين، ومن قرأ في ليلة مائة آية لم يكتب من الغافلين وكتب من القانتين.
Ibn Khuzayma (1142) and Hakim (1/308) both narrated it through the route of Abu Hamza Sukkari, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, the wording being that of Ibn Khuzayma. As for Hakim, he narrated it without the doubtful phrase, namely his saying, "Whoever recites a hundred verses in a night is recorded among the devoutly obedient." He said, "Sahih according to the criterion of the two Sheikhs." The discussion of this hadith was presented in detail earlier under the night prayer.
