The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has His own people from among mankind."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, who are they?"He replied, "They are the people of the Quran, the people of Allah and those closest to Him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الله أهلين من الناس قالوا: يا رسول الله من هم؟ قال: هم أهل القرآن، أهل الله وخاصته.
Ibn Majah (215) and Ahmad (12279) narrated it, and Hakim graded it sahih (1/556). All of them narrated it through routes from Abdul-Rahman bin Budayl (that is, bin Maysara Aqeeli Basri), from his father, from Anas bin Malik, who related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abdul-Rahman bin Budayl, for his hadith are hasan. Busiri said, "Its chain is sahih."
