The detailed portion of the Quran was revealed in Makkah, and we remained for a year reciting it, with nothing else being revealed.

Saeed bin Mansur narrated it in his Sunan (126, tafsir section), and Tabarani, via his route, in al-Awsat (6340), from Hudayj bin Muawiya, who said, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Habib (who is Sulami), from Ibn Masud, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Hudayj bin Muawiya, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is hasan when it does not contradict others and does not contain anything objectionable.
