The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beautify the Quran with your voices."

Commentary

Zia-ur-Rahman Azami

Narrated by Abu Dawud (1468), Nasai (1015), Ibn Majah (1342), Ahmad (18494), and Darimi (3543), and graded sahih by Ibn Hibban (479) and Hakim (1/571), all of them through various chains from Talha bin Musarrif, from Abdul-Rahman bin Awsaja, from Bara bin Azib, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Darimi also narrated it (3544) with another sahih chain, adding, "For a beautiful voice increases the Quran in beauty."
