He said, "I saw in a dream as though one of my fingers had ghee on it and the other had honey, and I was licking them both. When I woke up, I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, "You will read the two scriptures, the Torah and the Furqan."So he used to read them both.
رأيت فيما يرى النائم لكأن في إحدى إصبعي سمنا، وفي الأخرى عسلا، فأنا ألعقهما، فلما أصبحت ذكرت ذلك لرسول الله ﷺ، فقال: تقرأ الكتابين: التوراة والفرقان فكان يقرأهما.
Ahmad narrated it (7067) from Qutayba, who said, Ibn Lahia narrated to us, from Wahib bin Abdullah, from Abdullah bin Amr, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, about whom there is well-known discussion, but Qutayba's narration from him, along with the Abadila, is accepted, as some scholars have allowed for it.
