I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressing the people from his pulpit, saying, "People, I was shown Laylat al-Qadr, then I was made to forget it. I also saw two gold bracelets on my arms, which I disliked, so I blew on them and they flew away. I interpreted them as these two liars, the one from Yemen and the one from Yamamah."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ وهو يخطب الناس على منبره، وهو يقول: أيها الناس، إني قد أريت ليلة القدر، ثم أنسيتها، ورأيت أن في ذراعي سوارين من ذهب، فكرهتهما، فنفختهما، فطارا، فأولتهما هذين الكذابين: صاحب اليمن، وصاحب اليمامة.
Ahmad (11816) narrated it from Yaqub, who said, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said, Yazid bin Abdullah bin Qusayt narrated to me, from Ata bin Yasar, or his brother Sulayman bin Yasar, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq, for his hadith is hasan when he states explicitly that he heard it directly. The uncertainty in the chain between Ata or his brother Sulayman does not cause harm, for both of them are reliable.Abu Yaala (1063) also narrated it, by way of Yunus bin Bukayr, from Muhammad bin Ishaq with the same chain, saying, "from Ata bin Yasar," without any uncertainty.In the Sahihayn there is a portion of it concerning Laylat al-Qadr within a longer narration, and that portion is cited under the discussion of Laylat al-Qadr.
