Ibn Sirin reported,

He heard Abu Hurayrah say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the end of time draws near, the dreams of a believer will hardly ever prove false. The dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophethood."Muhammad said, "And I say this as well."He said, it used to be said, dreams are of three kinds, the inner conversation of the soul, frightening from Satan, and glad tidings from Allah. So whoever sees something he dislikes should not relate it to anyone, but should get up and pray.He said, being shackled in a dream was disliked, while being fettered was viewed favorably, and it was said, fetters represent steadfastness in religion.
