I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about His statement, "For them are good tidings in the worldly life" [Yunus 10:64]. He said, "It is the righteous dream that the believer sees or that is seen for him."
سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن قوله: {لهم البشرى في الحيوة الدنيا} [يونس: ٦٤] قال: هي الرؤيا الصالحة يراها المؤمن أو ترى له.
Reported by Tirmidhi (2275), Ibn Majah (3898), Ahmad (22687), and Hakim (2/340) and (4/391), all through various routes from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Ubada bin Samit, and he mentioned it. Hakim said, sahih in isnad. I say, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman here is Zuhri, and he did not hear directly from Ubada bin Samit, for it comes in Tirmidhi and in the second location in Hakim, "I was informed on the authority of Ubada bin Samit."It has another route as well, reported by Ahmad (22767) from Abu Mughira, who said, Safwan narrated to us, who said, Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Yazani narrated to me, that a man asked Ubada bin Samit, and he mentioned it. Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Yazani, also said to be Humayd bin Abdullah, was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Ath-Thiqat, and a number of people narrated from him, so he is "acceptable" in the terminology of Ibn Hajar, that is, when corroborated. And indeed he is corroborated in the first isnad.
