The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophethood."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: رؤيا المؤمن جزء من ستة وأربعين جزءا من النبوة.
Abu Yaala (2361) and Tabarani in al-Kabir (11/245) narrated it, through Saeed bin Yahya bin Saeed Umawi, who said, my father narrated to me, from Ibn Jurayj, from Ibn Abu Husayn, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it, and the wording is Tabarani's. Its chain is sahih. Ibn Abu Husayn is Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Husayn, and it appears in the printed edition of Musnad Abu Yaala as "Umar bin Abu Husayn," which is an error, for Busiri quoted it in Ithaf Khayra (8072) from Musnad Abu Yaala, where it reads "Abdullah bin Abu Husayn," which is correct.Haythami said (7/172), "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."Ahmad narrated it (3071) through the route of Israil, from Simak, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A righteous vision is one part of seventy parts of prophethood." In the narration of Simak from Ikrima there is confusion.
