I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Nothing remains of prophethood except the bearers of good tidings."They asked, "What are the bearers of good tidings?"He replied, "Righteous dreams."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: لم يبق من النبوة إلا المبشرات. قالوا: وما المبشرات؟ قال: الرؤيا الصالحة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Dream Interpretation (6990) from Abu Yaman, who said, Shuayb informed us, from Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab told me, that Abu Hurairah said, and he mentioned it.Abu Dawud narrated it (5019) through another route from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whenever he finished the dawn prayer, would say, "Did any of you see a dream last night?" And he would say, "Nothing remains of prophethood after me except the true dream." Its chain of transmission is sahih.
