The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no evil omen from owls, and no bad omen from birds, but I love a good omen."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا عدوى، ولا هامة، ولا طيرة، وأحب الفأل الصالح.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Salam (2223:114), from Zuhayr bin Harb, who said, "Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Hisham bin Hassan informed us, from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Abu Hurairah," and he related it.He also narrated it (2223:113) from Hajjaj bin Shayr, who said, "Mualla bin Assad narrated to me, Abdul-Aziz bin Mukhtar narrated to us, Yahya bin Atiq narrated to us, Muhammad bin Sirin narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah," and he related it, except that it does not contain the phrase, "nor haamah."
