The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, let my nation perish in Your cause through spear thrusts and plague."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: اللهم اجعل فناء أمتي في سبيلك بالطعن، والطاعون.
Ahmad (15608), Ibn Abu Asim in al-Jihad (189), and Hakim (2/93) all narrated it through various routes from Abdul-Wahid bin Ziyad, who said, "Asim Ahwal narrated to us, saying, 'Kurayb bin Harith bin Abu Musa narrated to us, from Abu Burda bin Qays, the brother of Abu Musa Ashari.'" And he mentioned it.Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in its isnad." Its isnad is hasan because of Kurayb bin Harith, from whom a group of people narrated. He was among the Tabiin, and Ibn Hibban rated him trustworthy, and nothing has come in his narration that would be objected to.
