He visited Muqanna and then said, "I will not leave until you are cupped, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'In it there is a cure.'"
أنه عاد المقنع ثم قال: لا أبرح حتى تحتجم فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إن فيه شفاء.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Medicine (5697), and Muslim in the Book of Greetings (2205), both from the hadith of Ibn Wahb, who said, "Amr and others told me that Bukayr told him that Asim bin Umar bin Qatada told him that Jabir bin Abdullah visited Muqannaa," and he mentioned it.His statement "Muqannaa" refers to Ibn Sinan, a follower, as mentioned in the hadith of Abu Yaala (2100) in detail, similar to what is found in Muslim (2205:71). He is mentioned in the chapter on healing in three things.
