The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there is healing in anything, it lies in three: a cut from a cupper, a drink of honey, or a cauterization that strikes the pain. But I dislike cauterization and have no love for it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ثلاثا إن كان في شيء شفاء: ففي شرطة محجم، أو شربة عسل، أو كية تصيب ألما، وأنا أكره الكي ولا أحبه.
Ahmad (17315), Abu Yaala in his Musnad (1765), and Tabarani in al-Awsat (9335) and in al-Kabir (17/288–289) all narrated it, all of them from the hadith of Abdullah bin Walid, from Abu Khayr, from Uqba bin Amir Juhani, who said, so-and-so, as mentioned above.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdullah bin Walid Tujibi. Ibn Hibban rated him trustworthy, while Daraqutni deemed him daif, except that his hadith is judged hasan when it has a basis, and he has not brought anything objectionable. This is the case here, except that his statement "three times" is not corroborated.
