Tabarani narrated it in Musnad Shamiyin (2104) from Muhammad bin Abdullah Hadrami, who said, Yahya bin Dawud Wasiti told us, Ibrahim bin Yazid bin Mardanbah told us, from Raqaba bin Masqala, from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, from Raja bin Haywa, from Umm Darda, from Abu Darda, who said, then he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Abdul-Malik bin Umayr Dimashqi. Nasai said, "There is no harm in him," and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators.The narrators differed regarding Abdul-Malik bin Umayr Qurashi. Raqaba bin Masqala, who is trustworthy and reliable, narrated it this way, while others narrated it from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, from Raja bin Haywa, from Abu Darda, without mentioning Umm Darda in the chain. Those who narrated it without mentioning Umm Darda differed among themselves, some of them attributing it directly to the Prophet ﷺ, and some of them making it a saying of Abu Darda.The chain from Raja bin Haywa to Abu Darda is disconnected, as Ibn Hajar stated in Tahdhib.
