Abu Dawud (3880), Ibn Abu Shayba (24062), and Tahawi in Sharh Mushkil (2893) all narrated it through various routes from Amash, from Ibrahim (that is, Ibn Yazid Nakhai), from Aswad (that is, Ibn Yazid Nakhai), from Ayesha, and he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Abu Dawud, and its isnad is sahih.His words, "the one who casts the evil eye," refer to the person who afflicts someone else with the evil eye. His words, "the one afflicted by the evil eye," refer to the person who is afflicted by someone else's evil eye.
