The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, I repent to Allah seventy times a day."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: إني لأتوب في اليوم سبعين مرة.
Nasai narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (432), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (924). Both came through Mutamir bin Sulayman, who said, I heard my father say, Qatada narrated to us, from Anas, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.In another version, "I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day." Nasai narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (433), and Bazzar (Kashf, 3246) both narrated it through Abdullah bin Raja (who is al-Ghudani), from Imran (who is Ibn Dawar al-Qattan), from Qatada, from Anas, and he related it. Bazzar did not record its wording.
