The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has one hundred mercies. He has divided one mercy among the people of this world, and it suffices them until the end of their lifespans. He has reserved ninety-nine mercies for His friends. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will take back the mercy He had distributed among the people of this world and add it to the ninety-nine, completing them as one hundred mercies for His friends."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الله مائة رحمة، وقسم رحمة بين أهل الدنيا، وسعتهم إلى آجالهم، وأخر تسعة وتسعين رحمة لأوليائه، وإن الله تعالى قابض تلك الرحمة التي قسمها بين أهل الدنيا إلى التسع والتسعين، فيكملها مائة رحمة لأوليائه يوم القيامة.
Ahmad (10672) narrated it from Rawh (that is, bin Ubada), from Awf (that is, bin Abu Jamila), from Muhammad (that is, Ibn Sirin), from Abu Hurairah, who related it, and its chain of transmission is sahih. Hakim (4/248) also narrated it via Bakkar bin Muhammad Sayrini, from Awf, with the same wording. Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, though they did not include it with this wording." Dhahabi commented on this, saying, "Bakkar's narrations are worthless, as Abu Zura said."I say, this is as he said, but Rawh bin Ubada corroborated him, and Rawh is trustworthy.
