Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has one hundred mercies. He has sent down one of them among the jinn, mankind, the beasts, and the insects. Through it they show affection to one another, through it they have compassion for one another, and through it the wild beast tends to her young. Allah has held back ninety-nine mercies with which He will show mercy to His servants on the Day of Resurrection."
