Both of them heard the Prophet ﷺ saying. One of them said, "I heard him say, 'Allah, forgive me my sins, my mistakes, and what I have done deliberately.'"The other said, "I heard him say, 'Allah, I seek Your guidance toward the most upright course of my affair, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self.'"
أنهما سمعا النبي ﷺ قال أحدهما سمعته يقول: اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي وخطئي وعمدي وقال الآخر سمعته يقول: اللهم أستهديك لأرشد أمري وأعوذ بك من شر نفسي.
Ahmad (16269) and Tabarani in Al-Duaa (1392) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (901) graded it sahih, all of them through routes going back to Hammad bin Salama, from Saeed Jareeri, from Abu Ala, from Uthman bin Abu As and a woman from Qays, and they both mentioned it. In Ibn Hibban's version it reads "a woman from Quraysh" instead of "a woman from Qays." Its chain of transmission is sahih. As for Saeed Jareeri, although his memory did become confused later in life, Hammad bin Salama's hearing from him was before that confusion set in. Abu Ala is Yazid bin Abdullah bin Shikhir.
