The Prophet ﷺ used to make these supplications, "Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, from old age, from cowardice, from helplessness, and from the trials of life and death."
أن النبي ﷺ كان يدعو بهذه الدعوات: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الكسل، والهرم، والجبن والعجز، ومن فتنة المحيا والممات.
Nasai (5489) narrated it from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, who said, "Hammad bin Masada narrated to us, from Harun bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad, who is Ibn Sirin, from Uthman bin Abu As," and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, who is Zuhri, for his hadith is hasan.
