He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "By Allah, for Allah to guide a single man through you is better for you than red camels."
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول: والله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلا واحدا خير لك من أن يكون لك حمر النعم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Military Expeditions (2942), and Muslim in the Book of Virtues (2406), from Abdul-Aziz bin Abu Hazim, from his father, from Sahl bin Saad, who related the hadith. It includes the story of the Prophetﷺ giving the banner to Ali on the day of Khaybar, which will be mentioned in its proper place, if Allah wills.
