The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Muaz bin Jabal, "Shall I teach you a supplication by which, if you owed a debt as great as Mount Uhud, Allah would settle it for you? Say, Muaz,'O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You grant sovereignty to whom You will and remove sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good, and You are capable of all things. O Allah, Most Merciful in this world and the next, You grant them to whom You will and withhold them from whom You will. Bestow upon me a mercy that makes me independent of the mercy of anyone besides You.'"

Tabarani related it in al-Saghir (Majma Bahrayn 4679), and from his route Diya related it in al-Mukhtarah (7/197), from Ali bin Ibrahim bin Abbas Misri, who said, Rabi bin Sulayman Jizi told us, Abu Zura Wahb Allah bin Rashid told us, Yunus bin Yazid Ayli told us, from Zuhri, from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan on account of Wahb Allah bin Rashid, for his hadith is hasan. Abu Hatim said, "His standing is truthfulness." Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators and said, "He makes mistakes." Munziri said in al-Targhib (2662), "Tabarani related it in al-Saghir with a good isnad."The hadith has also been related through various chains from Muaz, in Tabarani's al-Kabir (20/154–155, and 159), and in Musnad Shamiyin (2398), but none of them are free from criticism. What I have cited here is the soundest of them.
