The Prophet ﷺ left her early in the morning after performing the dawn prayer, while she was in her place of prayer. He returned after the morning had grown bright, and she was still sitting there.He asked, "Have you remained in the same state in which I left you?"She replied, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have said four phrases three times after leaving you that, if weighed against all you have said since this morning, would outweigh them. Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, by the number of His creation, by the measure of His pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the ink of His words."In another narration, "Glory be to Allah by the number of His creation, glory be to Allah by the measure of His pleasure, glory be to Allah by the weight of His Throne, glory be to Allah by the ink of His words."
أن النبي ﷺ خرج من عندها بكرة حين صلى الصبح، وهي في مسجدها، ثم رجع بعد أن أضحى وهي جالسة، فقال: ما زلت على الحال التي فارقتك عليها؟ قالت: نعم. قال النبي ﷺ: لقد قلت بعدك أربع كلمات ثلاث مرات لو وزنت بما قلت منذ اليوم لوزنتهن: سبحان الله وبحمده عدد خلقه، ورضا نفسه، وزنة عرشه، ومداد كلماته وفي رواية: سبحان الله عدد خلقه، سبحان الله رضا نفسه، سبحان الله زنة عرشه، سبحان الله مداد كلماته.
Muslim narrated it in Dhikr and Dua (2726:79) via Sufyan (Ibn Uyayna), from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, the freed slave of the family of Talha, from Kurayb, from Ibn Abbas, from Juwayriya, and he related it. The second narration in Muslim is also via Masaar, from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, with the same wording.Abu Dawud (1502) narrated it from Dawud bin Umaya, from Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this same chain, except that he made it part of the musnad of Ibn Abbas. It appears this was an oversight on the part of some of the narrators, for the hadith is actually the hadith of Juwayriya.
