I asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying, "I send out my trained dogs to hunt."He replied, "When you send out your trained dogs and mention the name of Allah, then eat whatever they catch for you. And when you shoot with a featherless arrow and it pierces the prey, then eat it."
سألت النبي ﷺ قلت: أرسل كلابي المعلمة؟ قال: إذا أرسلت كلابك المعلمة، وذكرت اسم الله فأمسكن فكل، وإذا رميت بالمعراض فخرق فكل.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tawhid (7397), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (1929), both through the route of Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Hammam bin Harith, from Adi bin Hatim, who mentioned it.
