The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man, "What do you say in your prayer?"The man replied, "I recite the tashahhud, then I ask Allah for Paradise and seek refuge in Him from the Fire. By Allah, I cannot match your eloquent murmuring nor that of Muaz."He said, "It is around these very things that we murmur."
قال رسول الله ﷺ لرجل: ما تقول في الصلاة؟ قال: أتشهد ثم أسأل الله الجنة، وأعوذ به من النار. أما والله ما أحسن دندنتك ولا دندنة معاذ. فقال: حولها ندندن.
Ibn Majah narrated it (910, 3847), and Ibn Khuzayma (725) and Ibn Hibban (868) graded it sahih, all of them through the route of Jareer bin Abdul-Hameed, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, who related it. Its isnad is sahih.
