I said to Ayesha, "Tell me of something the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate with in his prayer."She replied, "Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done.'"
قلت لعائشة: حدثيني بشيء كان رسول الله ﷺ يدعو به في صلاته، قالت: نعم، كان رسول الله ﷺ يقول: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من شر ما عملت، ومن شر ما لم أعمل.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on remembrance and supplication (2716) from Yahya bin Yahya and Ishaq bin Ibrahim, the wording being Yahya's, both of whom said, Jareer informed us, from Mansur, from Hilal, from Farwa bin Nawfal Ashjai, who said, I asked Ayesha, and then he mentioned the hadith. Muslim presented Yahya's wording, and his version does not state that the Prophet used to supplicate with it in his prayer, that detail was mentioned only by Ishaq bin Ibrahim. Nasai (1307) narrated it from him, with the same chain found in Muslim, and the text I presented is from him. Likewise, Abu Dawud (1550) and Ibn Majah (3839) did not narrate it through the route of Ishaq bin Ibrahim, so they too did not mention that this occurred during the prayer.
