The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Al-Wasilah is a rank with Allah above which there is no higher rank. So ask Allah to grant me al-Wasilah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الوسيلة درجة عند الله، ليس فوقها درجة، فسلوا الله أن يؤتيني الوسيلة.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (11783) from Musa bin Dawud, who said, Ibn Lahia narrated to us, from Musa bin Wardan, who said, I heard Abu Saeed Khudri say, and then he related it. There is well known discussion regarding Ibn Lahia, but he has been corroborated. Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat, Majma al-Bahrayn (641), from Ahmad, that is, Ibn Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Sadaqa, who said, Yahya bin Muhammad bin Sakan narrated to us, who said, Muhammad bin Jahdam narrated to us, who said, Ismail bin Jafar narrated to us, from Umara bin Ghaziya, from Musa bin Wardan, with the same wording.Most of its narrators are trustworthy. Yahya bin Muhammad bin Sakan, Muhammad bin Jahdam, Umara bin Ghaziya, and Musa bin Wardan are all narrators whose hadith is hasan. With these two chains combined, the hadith rises to the level of hasan, especially since it has a sahih basis in the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr bin As found in Muslim (384).
