The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says when he hears the call to prayer, 'O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer about to be established, grant Muhammad the means and the excellence, and raise him to the praiseworthy station that You have promised him,' my intercession will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من قال حين يسمع النداء: اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة، آت محمدا الوسيلة والفضيلة، وابعثه مقاما محمودا الذي وعدته، حلت له شفاعتي يوم القيامة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (614), from Ali bin Ayyash, who said, "Shuayb bin Abu Hamza narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Munkadir, from Jabir bin Abdullah," and he mentioned it. Bayhaqi narrated it (1/410) from Muhammad bin Awf, who said, "Ali bin Ayyash narrated to us with his chain," and he added at the beginning of the hadith, "O Allah, I ask You by the right of this call," and added at the end of the hadith, "Indeed You do not fail in Your promise." Then he said, Bukhari narrated it in his Sahih from Ali bin Ayyash. What is meant by this is the basic hadith, not the full wording, for a group of narrators reported it from Ali bin Ayyash without mentioning these two additions.Muhammad bin Awf is Ibn Sufyan Tai, Abu Jafar Himsi, and although he is trustworthy and a hafiz, he differed from a group of trustworthy narrators, so this addition of his is considered shadh. However, Sakhawi mentioned in Maqasid Hasana, under the phrase "the exalted rank," that "Indeed You do not fail in Your promise" is established in Kashmihani's transmission of Bukhari's own narration. But Ibn Hajar did not mention this in Fath al-Bari, as was his custom in noting the differences among the manuscripts of Bukhari. Rather, he transmitted this addition from Bayhaqi and passed over it in silence.
