The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Three supplications are never rejected: the supplication of a parent, the supplication of one who is fasting, and the supplication of a traveler."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ثلاث دعوات لا ترد، دعوة الوالد، ودعوة الصائم، ودعوة المسافر.
Bayhaqi (3/345) and Diya in Al-Mukhtarah (2057) both narrated it through the route of Abu Abbas Muhammad bin Yaqub, who said, Ibrahim bin Bakr Marwazi narrated to us, Sahmi Abdullah bin Bakr narrated to us, Humayd Tawil narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik, who said (and then he related the hadith). Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Ibrahim bin Bakr Marwazi, for his hadith is hasan. As for what was narrated from Umm Hakeem bint Widaa Khuzaiyyah, who said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The prayer of the parent leads through to the veil," its chain of transmission is daif. Ibn Majah (3863) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (25/163) both narrated it through the route of Abu Salama Musa bin Ismail, who said, Habbaba bint Ajlan narrated to us, from her mother Umm Hafs, from Safiya bint Jareer, from Umm Hakeem bint Widaa Khuzaiyyah, and then she related it. Habbaba, her mother, and Safiya bint Jareer, their status is not known.
