Ahmad (1796), Nasai in Kubra (7669), and Hakim (1/498–499) all narrated it through various routes from Abdullah bin Mubarak, from Yahya bin Hassan, that is, Filastini, from Rabia bin Amir, who mentioned it. Hakim said, "This hadith has a sahih chain of transmission," and it is as he said.His saying, "Persist in saying, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor," means to say it repeatedly. The word used for persisting in something means to cling to it and continue steadily at it.Similar in meaning is what was narrated from Anas, who said the Messenger of Allah said, "Persist in saying, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor." This was narrated by Tirmidhi (3534m), Tabarani in Duaa (93), and Ibn Adi in Kamil (7/2561), all through various routes from Yazid Raqashi, from Anas bin Malik, who mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a singular hadith, and it has also been narrated from Anas through other routes." I say, its chain of transmission includes Yazid Raqashi, who is daif.Tirmidhi (3535), Abu Yaala (3833), and Tabarani in Duaa (94) all narrated it through the route of Muammal bin Ismail, from Hammad bin Salama, from Humayd, from Anas, who mentioned it. Tirmidhi, Abu Hatim Razi, and Daraqutni all affirmed that Muammal erred in this, and that the correct version is from Hammad, from Thabit and Humayd, from Hasan, as a mursal narration.See Ilal Ibn Abu Hatim (2069) and Ilal Daraqutni (12/26).
