The Prophet ﷺ said, "The likeness of one who remembers his Lord and one who does not is like the living and the dead."In another wording, "The likeness of a house in which Allah is remembered and a house in which Allah is not remembered is like the living and the dead."
قال النبي ﷺ: مثل الذي يذكر ربه والذي لا يذكر مثل الحي والميت. وفي لفظ: مثل البيت الذي يذكر الله فيه، والبيت الذي لا يذكر الله فيه مثل الحي والميت.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Supplications (6407), and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers (779), both through the route of Abu Usama, from Burayd bin Abdullah, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who mentioned it. The first wording is Bukhari's and the other is Muslim's.
