Ibn Majah (3792) and Ahmad (10968) both narrated it through the route of Uzai, from Ismail bin Ubaydullah bin Abu Muhajir, from Umm Darda, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih.Ahmad (10975, 10976) also narrated it, as did Bukhari in Khalq Afal Abbad (436), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (815), all of them through various routes from Ismail bin Ubaydullah bin Abu Muhajir, from Kareemah bint Hahhas Muzaniyyah, who said, I heard Abu Hurairah say, in the house of Umm Darda, he said, and then he mentioned it. This isnad is hasan on account of Kareemah, for her hadith is of the hasan quality.Both versions, meaning the one from Kareemah from Abu Hurairah, and the one from Umm Darda from Abu Hurairah, are sahih, as Mizzi stated in the biographical entry on Kareemah bint Hahhas in Tahzib Kamal.Bukhari mentioned it with a suspended chain in the Book of Tawheed, in the chapter on the saying of Allah Most High, "Do not move your tongue with it" [Qiyamah 75:16], from Abu Hurairah, stating it in a definitive form.It has also been narrated from Umm Darda from Abu Darda, but this is not the preserved version, as Mizzi stated in Tuhfat Ashraf (11/109).
