Sahl bin Saad reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "My pulpit stands at one of the turah of Paradise."I asked him, "Abu al-Abbas, what is a turah?"He replied, "A gate."
عن سهل بن سعد أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول: منبري على ترعة من ترع الجنة فقلت له: ما الترعة يا أبا العباس؟ قال: الباب.
Ahmad narrated it (22841) from Husayn bin Muhammad (that is, Ibn Bahram Marwazi), who said, "Muhammad bin Mutarrif told us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl," and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.As for the statement, "a garden among the gardens of Paradise," the correct meaning is that this very place will be transferred to Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and it is not actually part of Paradise now, because if it were part of Paradise it would be as Allah described Paradise, "You will not go hungry therein, nor will you be exposed" [Taha 20:118]. Rather, what is meant is that prayer performed there, along with remembrance, glorification, praise, takbir, and supplication, leads to Paradise, just as one might say of a pleasant day, "This is one of the days of Paradise."For more, see Fath al-Bari (4/100).A daif report has also been narrated as a saying attributed to the Prophet, "Whoever would be pleased to pray in a garden among the gardens of Paradise, let him pray between my grave and my pulpit."
