The Prophet ﷺ said at Mina, "Do you know what day this is?"They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "This is a sacred day. Do you know what land this is?"They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "A sacred land. Do you know what month this is?"They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "A sacred month." Then he said, "Indeed, Allah has made your blood, your property, and your honor sacred to one another, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this month of yours, in this land of yours."
قال النبي ﷺ بمنى: أتدرون أي يوم هذا؟ قالوا: الله ورسوله أعلم، فقال: فإن هذا يوم حرام، أفتدرون أي بلد هذا؟ قالوا: الله ورسوله أعلم، قال: بلد حرام، أفتدرون أي شهر هذا؟ قالوا: الله ورسوله أعلم، قال: شهر حرام قال: فإن الله حرم عليكم دماءكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم كحرمة يومكم هذا، في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Hajj (1742) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, "Yazid bin Harun told us, Asim bin Muhammad bin Zayd informed us, from his father, from Ibn Umar," and he related it.
