The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What an excellent people the Azd are. Their mouths are wholesome, their oaths are truthful, and their hearts are pure."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: نعم القوم الأزد، طيبة أفواههم، برة أيمانهم، نقية قلوبهم.
Ahmad (8615) and Ibn Wahb in his Jami (p. 6-7) narrated it from Ibn Lahia, who said, Abu Yunus narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Abu Yunus is Salim bin Jubayr, the freed slave of Abu Hurairah. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdullah bin Lahia, for Ibn Wahb's hadith narrated from him is hasan.Haythami mentioned it in Majma (10/49) and said, "Ahmad narrated it, and its chain of transmission is hasan."
