The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, Ghifar, Aslam, Mazina, and those of Juhaynah," or he said, "Juhaynah, and those of Mazina, are better before Allah on the Day of Resurrection than Asad, Tayy, and Ghatafan."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: والذي نفس محمد بيده، لغفار، وأسلم، ومزينة، ومن كان من جهينة أو قال: جهينة، ومن كان من مزينة خير عند الله يوم القيامة: من أسد، وطيء، وغطفان.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions (2525-191) through several routes from Yaqub bin Ibrahim bin Saad, who said, "My father narrated to us, from Salih, from Araj, who said, Abu Hurairah said," then he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues (3504), saying, "Yaqub bin Ibrahim said, my father narrated to us, from his father, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Hurmuz Araj narrated to me, from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Quraysh, the Ansar, Juhayna, Mazina, Aslam, Ashja, and Ghifar are all my allies, they have no ally besides Allah and His Messenger.'"This suspended (mu'allaq) hadith is different from the connected (mawsul) hadith mentioned previously, though both were narrated by Ibrahim bin Saad. The first is what Salih bin Kaysan narrated, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and this is what Muslim recorded. The second is what he narrated from his father Saad bin Ibrahim, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and this is what Bukhari recorded as suspended from Yaqub bin Ibrahim.So these are two distinct hadiths, differing in both text and chain of transmission, and each was narrated by Ibrahim bin Saad.
