The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves the Ansar loves them out of love for me, and whoever hates the Ansar hates them out of hatred for me."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحب الأنصار فبحبي أحبهم، ومن أبغض الأنصار فببغضي أبغضهم.
Reported by Tabarani in al-Kabir (19/341), and in Musnad Shamiyin (2082), from Husayn bin Ishaq Tustari, from Harmala bin Yahya (he is Tujaybi), from Ibn Wahb (he is Abdullah), from Muawiya bin Salih, from Yahya bin Saeed, from Numan bin Murrah Zurqi, that he heard Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan say, then he related it. Its chain is hasan on account of Muawiya bin Salih Hadrami and Harmala bin Yahya Tujaybi, since both of them make the hadith hasan. The rest of its narrators are trustworthy. Husayn bin Ishaq Tustari is a teacher of Tabarani. Dhahabi deemed him trustworthy, saying, "A traveling scholar of hadith, trustworthy." Tarikh Islam (22/136).Haythami said, "Tabarani reported it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Numan bin Murrah, and he is trustworthy." Majma al-Zawaid (10/39).
